The Endurance Mama Mother’s Day Gift Guide

For the mom who trains hard, loves and plays big, and still carries all the snacks.

Mother’s Day can feel a bit forced sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, flowers and cards from the kids are absolutely amazing. And big cudos to the dad’s who can get all of that together without Mama knowing!

However, if you are looking for a gift to get your baby Mama (who also happens to love and live for adventure) for mothers day, then take a look at this little guide I put together. It also can be seen as a guide for what I’m personally loving right now in my phase of life. So perceive it however you want to.

Because my current version of motherhood (incase you are curious) is early alarms and late finishes, training blocks layered with homeschool lessons and projects, it’s planning out all the trips and all the inbetween times, it’s sneaking in some me and work time, it’s adventure, chaos and a strength that is unexplainable to many.

This isn’t a gift guide full of flowers, candles, and things like that (nothing wrong with that if that is your current love language!). Instead this is a list of things that make her life easier, better, or just a little more hers.

For the Mom Who Fixes Everything:

The Leatherman Micra

A multi-tool featuring scissors, a knife, a file, and additional tools with a green and pink handle.

This is one of those gifts that becomes essential. The Leatherman Micra lives on your keychain or in your purse/ fanny pack. It shows up when you need it—cutting a tag before a race, tightening something loose on gear, getting a splinter out, and fixing the small things before they become big ones. It’s not at all flashy, but I’ve found it to be incredibly useful.

For the Mom Who’s Holding It All Together:

The Elevate Planner by Silk and Sonder

A person's hand holding a pen, writing in a reflection journal titled 'MINI YEAR REFLECTION' with prompts and sections for personal insights, on a white background.

This planner came to me at the perfect time in my life. My boys are finally old enough that I have a little more unscheduled me time—not just time set aside for training.

And this isn’t like any planner or journal I’ve used before.

It gently pushes me to go deeper—to uncover parts of my past that have quietly shaped how I show up today. As I’ve worked through it, I’ve started to understand why I do certain things, where some of my patterns and habits come from, and what’s been holding me back.

Now I’m in the section focused on the future—something that’s always felt like an afterthought for me. But with this as a guide, I’m actually taking the time to work through things that feel important.

It’s hard to fully explain, but for anyone who’s ready for that kind of reflection, it’s worth it.

I sit down with it about three times a week—usually in the mornings. It’s part structure, part meditation, and honestly, it feels like a gift that showed up exactly when I needed it. Perhaps you know someone (or yourself) where it’s time for this as well!

For the Mom Who Needs Real Recovery

AOS Skincare Beauty Sleep Snow Mushroom + C Overnight Mask

AOS Beauty Sleep Overnight Brightening Mask jar with a creamy texture swatch beside it.

Recovery isn’t always another workout tool. Especially when you are one who finds yourself constantly outside. Whether you are training outside, love to work in the garden or are always out playing in the yard with your kids, your skin likely needs some love.

I love the kind of creams that work while you sleep, it’s like I’m multitasking to the max. Not only am I getting sleep and recovering my body, but also my skin is getting some much needed love and replenishment.

This overnight mask is simple: put it on, go to bed, and wake up feeling a little more bright and ready. It’s low effort with a high return policy. What’s not to love??

For the Gift That Actually Feels Like a Gift

Hipcamp Stay (or Credits so she can choose for herself)

A night outside (or even just somewhere different), a long weekend away, and a place that’s already booked and figured out. Now add this: you handle all the packing—for her and the kids—and now we’re really talking.

This is something my husband does for me every couple of months. He knows I love exploring new places, and that I’m just not a hotel person. I’d much rather camp, sleep under the stars (or close to it), or stay somewhere a little more unique—like a cabin or treehouse.

The best part? The kids are all in on it too, so it’s a win for everyone.

Hipcamp has become our go-to for finding those kinds of stays. From simple tent sites to incredible off-grid cabins and tucked-away properties, it’s how we’ve discovered so many hidden gems around Oregon. Now it’s the first place we look anytime we’re planning a road trip or heading out on a new adventure—even out of state.

If your person is more into doing the picking out the place and planning themselves, credits are another great idea!

For the Mom Who Loves Clothes that move with her.

Patagonia Garden Island Shorts + Capilene Cool Trail Cropped Tank

Easy, breathable, and just put-together enough. The Patagonia Garden Island Shorts paired with a Capilene Cool Trail cropped tank is the kind of outfit that works for everything: Post run hang, downtown strolls, gardening, kiddo adventures, Sunday afternoon lazy times, playground slide laps, and hot afternoons that turn into cool evenings outside. There’s no thinking required with this outfit. It just works and feels good. It’s my current spring uniform that will easily become my summer one.

For the Mom Who Loves to Go Fast.. Everywhere

La Sportiva Prodigio Max Pro

A person's feet in athletic shoes standing on a ground covered with pine needles, wearing black pants and bright green thigh sleeves.

If your Mama loves to go fast on and off trail, these shoes are the best for all types of terrain and for all lengths. I’ve been running on these for a few months now. From technical trails, to intense bush where there are no trails in site, to long steep and crumbly climbs, these shoes have seen it all and are still going. Usually after a big mission where there is loose descents and lava rock that can destroy you and your shoes, I have a either a big hole in my shoe or the sole is completely destroyed. I am now on my third run with these types of conditions and the Prodigo Max Pros are still 100 percent good to go.
For that Mama, or person in your life who loves to charge.. these are it.

For the Small Upgrade That Feels Big

ALAB Skincare NAD+ Serum

This serum is not a dramatic overhaul, nor is it complicated. It’s just a great addition to whatever you are currently doing. It’s a serum that gives your skin a bit more energy and a little boost. I can’t tell yet if it’s actually doing these things, but I do like the feel of it. And I’m a firm believer in the placebo effect. If it says it’s energizing, I fully take it on!

It’s the kind of small, consistent upgrade that helps me feel a little more energized, and a little more like I’m taking care of my skin without adding another thing to skin routine plate.

For the Mom Who Lives in Recovery Mode (But Still Wants to Look Good Doing It)

Aritzia Mega Jogger Cozy Sweatfleece

There’s a difference between throwing something on and actually feeling good in it.

These are the ones you reach for after long runs, travel days, or those in-between hours where you’re not training—but you’re definitely not resting either. Soft, oversized, and still put together, there’s a reason why most everybody in my house keeps on stealing them from me!

This for me, is the version of “recovery gear” that actually gets worn.

For the Mom Who Tracks It All (and Still Wants More)

Garmin Enduro 3 Watch

A close-up view of a Garmin smartwatch displaying running statistics: distance of 25.65 miles, time of 52:27, and pace of 12:34 per mile, with a red running icon and a graph line.

This is not just any watch. It’s an ultra-endurance GPS watch with massive battery life and solar charging, built for long efforts and big adventures. I’ve had my Garmin Enduro now for 5 years and am still am in awe. It regularly lasts for 30 days and sometimes even more thanks to it’s solar charging ability. It tracks everything- effort, recovery, sleep, stress, HRV, VO2 max and more. But more than that, it supports the kind of training that doesn’t fit neatly into a one-hour window, if your person is into bigger days and missions that don’t always go to plan, then this is for that version of them!

For the Mom Who’s Always Layering

Patagonia R1 Air Fleece Crewneck

A man and a woman smile for a selfie in a cozy café setting, with wooden furniture and others seated in the background.

The RI Air Fleece Crewneck is a lightweight, breathable technical fleece that works as the perfect midlayer for training, adventure, and everyday wear. It’s literally been on me or very near me for the last three months non stop. I am quite obsessed with it, very much like my 9 year old son is currently obsessed with his cozy sweats! Just like he always needs a pair to go with him where ever he goes, I too need this to be with me.

This piece becomes a part of everything I do – running, biking, overnight adventuring and lounging at home. It looks amazing and even more important- it feels amazing. The R1 Air hits that sweet spot—warm, but breathable enough that you don’t overheat the second you start moving. It’s designed to wick moisture, dry quickly, and layer easily without bulk.

It’s technical, but it doesn’t feel precious. And that’s why it gets worn… a lot.

For the Layer You Don’t Think About (But Should)

Paradis Sport Seamless ModiQ Brief

Paradis Sport Seamless ModiQ Highwaist Brief

The Seamless ModiQ high waist brief offers comfort and a sleek fit that is ideal for active wear. This isn’t the flashy gift—but it might be one of the most appreciated. Because, for me, when my base layer is off, everything feels off. Paradis Sport’s ModiQ underwear is built for movement—seamless, breathable, and designed to regulate temperature so you’re not thinking about it mid-run, mid-race, or mid-everything else.

In short, they dry fast, stay put, and just… work. Which is exactly what you want from something this close to your skin. Feel free to use Chelsey20 at check out to get a 20% off.

For the Mom Who Needs Fuel That Actually Works

4HourFuel Endurance Smoothie

Two pouches of endurance superfood smoothies, labeled 'Orange Dreamsicle' and 'Mocha', featuring nutrition information and branding for athletes.

Fueling can be one of the hardest parts of endurance life – not always because it’s complicated, but because it’s constant.

The 4HourFuel Endurance Smoothie simplifies this times 100. If I ever have a worry or question about needing extra, throwing one of these in my pack is easy, light and takes any overthinking or anxiety about calories away.

It’s real food you can drink, designed for long efforts, big days, and the kind of training where stopping to eat just isn’t realistic. One bottle can carry hours of steady energy, without the spikes, crashes, or constant wrapper trash.

What I love most is how easy it is: you literally open it up, fill it, shake and go.

No math mid-race/ training and no forcing down another gel when you don’t want it.

It’s the kind of fuel that fits into real life too—early mornings, long days, or just trying to stay on top of your energy when everything else is pulling at you. Huge bonus is that my kids love it too, especially when we are working hard together on a hike or a bike. “This stuff is so yummy Mama! It’s like my GO juice!” – Not even kidding- these are word for word from my 6 year olds mouth the other day.

For the Mom Who Loves to Ride (and Cares About the Details)

Outlier MTB Pendulum Pedal

I have honestly haven’t been on these for that long, but I already know they are a total game changer. Literally, after my first ride, I could feel the difference in my riding. My confidence went up, and I don’t know how, but it made me fall in love with mountain biking even MORE! The Pendulums are a low-profile, concave, self-righting flat pedal that is designed for maximum stability and grip on technical terrain.

It’s one of those small pieces of gear where you ask yourself “Does this really matter”…. until you try it and yes, it actually does.. ALOT.

The Pendulum is different, in a way you can feel immediately. The platform actually sits below the axle, lowering your center of mass and creating a more stable, planted feel on the bike. How that translates to the trail is: more stability, more control and a foot position that feels locked in yet also flexible.

It also has this self-righting design, so when you come off the pedal, it naturally swings back into position which sounds like a small detail, but it makes a difference when things get technical.

It’s defintley not your standard flat pedal—but that’s kind of the point.

This gift is for the mom who rides hard, pays attention to the details, and appreciates gear that actually changes how the ride feels. More on these later, but just had to plop them in here because… WOW. They are amazing.

The Part That Actually Matters

Honestly, the best Mother’s Day gift isn’t on this list.

It’s: a long run where she doesn’t have to rush home, coffee that stays hot, a trip that’s already planned, and space to just be her.. without carrying everything.

But if you’re going to wrap something up, make it something that fits into her real life, and not the curated version, but the one she’s actually living. Perhaps something here inspired you or caught your attention. Either way, I hope you spoil your Mama on this day.. and everyday you can.
